I write. I write because I can't NOT write. I've done professional sf/fantasy in bits and pieces, and I've done fanfic. Fanfic has been more rewarding, personally.
I've been a slash fan since I was three years old. (I just KNEW Captain Kangaroo and Mr. Greenjeans were married to each other and they lived in the Treasure House with all those cool animals and the talking clock.) I find slash very freeing as a genre -- I've written everything from horror to chaste romance, rip-roaring adventure to keyboard-melting pr0n. (And I've been doing this since the Bronze Age of Fanfic -- the days of paper zines and round-robin letters in the snail mail.)
I fold paper.
Weddings and babies are for other people to have.
I provide an invaluable Auntie-Mame-style role model for my nieces and nephews.
